The Association of South-Asian A Cappella is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit dedicated to championing the unique fusion musical genre of South Asian A Cappella – what we love to refer to as Desi meets Pitch Perfect – a young art form we see as the perfect blend of our South Asian heritage and the Western culture we live around.
Through its pioneering efforts, ASA has played an instrumental role in shaping the collegiate South Asian music landscape across the United States.
In the last decade, South Asian A Cappella has flourished, with our teams consistently making their mark in prestigious competitions like A3 (All-American Awaaz) and ICCA (International Championship of Collegiate A Cappella). We support 85 teams, 8 competitions, and more than 2,000 participants annually across 25 states in the South Asian A Cappella circuit through various initiatives.
